The team is lead by the practice owner Brian Clough who qualified in 1982 from Liverpool. He subsequently joined the Windermere Dental Surgery in 1983. Mr Clough purchased the practice in 1994 and has recently refurbished the surgeries with modern equipment and furnishings.

Gill Scanlan qualified from Edinburgh University in 1994. Gill joined the practice in November 2006 and currently works 2 days a week at the practice.

Our Hygienist is Fiona McKeating who qualified with a Diploma of Hygiene and Therapy from Liverpool University. Fiona began working as a dental nurse at the Windermere Dental Practice; she then went on to work as a practice manager. Fiona then progressed to become a tutor training dental nurses. She then attended Liverpool University and qualified as a Dental Therapist in 2007, and currently works one day a week at the practice working as a Hygienist.

Our practice manager is Claire Murphy. Claire has been with the practice since October 1987 and qualified as a Dental Nurse in 1991. Claire became the Practice Manager in 2001. Claire on occasions assists in the surgeries. She will usually be one of the first people you will meet or speak to on the phone.

Our practice nurses are Amanda Lacey, Lauren Taylor and Susan Clough.

Mandy joined the practice in January 2001 and qualified as a dental nurse in November 2002. She is a registered dental nurse and works full time, usually assisting Mr. Clough in his surgery. She is our senior dental nurse.

Lauren joined the practice in the October 2006, and is currently studying for her NVQ3 in Oral Healthcare: Dental Nursing for which she attends College on a day release basis. She works at the practice for the rest of the week, assisting in the surgeries or in reception.

Susan Clough is a trainee Dental Nurse. Susan joined the practice in 2007 and is also studying for the NVQ3 in Oral Healthcare: Dental Nursing’. She usually assists Mr. Clough in his surgery.

Our receptionist Jan has been with the practice since June 2005 and works part time as a receptionist. With many years experience as a receptionist she will usually be the first person you meet at the practice or the first person you speak to on the phone.

All members of the team are dedicated to the provision of excellent dentistry. With such experience they are well qualified to assist and give advice on all aspects of dentistry to our patients.
