Crowns are an ideal way to rebuild teeth that have been weakened by
having a very large filling or root filling, or may have discoloured fillings where we
would like to improve the appearance of the tooth. The crown is cemented over the
remaining part of the tooth, making it strong and giving it an improved colour, shape and
contour to match that of a natural tooth.
Crowns are made of many different materials, porcelain being the main
visible component, E-max is an all ceramic core bonded to porcelain. E-max
crowns can be made thinner and finer, resulting in stronger and more life-like
finish.
